Bio

A graduate of the Moscow Institute of International Relations (1990), Temple University School of Law (1993) and Harvard Law School (1995), I started my career as a lawyer in private practice in mid-1990.

Since then I have had a successful career as a lawyer, initially as a corporate lawyer and then as an antitrust lawyer, working for law firms Coudert Brothers (1995-2005), DLA Piper (2005-2010), Dechert LLP (2010-2014) and Antitrust Advisory Limited (2014-present). I was a partner in the last three law firms, based in Moscow, Paris, New York and London. After a lot of moving around the globe I finally settled in the UK where I been living for the last 10 years (since 2015).

As a lawyer, I worked mainly for large corporate clients, including Philip Morris International, Procter & Gambe, Nestle, Wrigley/Mars, Bacardi, GE, L’Oreal, Total, Alstom and many others. Among other areas of expertise, I have developed a unique experience in the topics of distribution of FMCG, data exchange and conflict of interests.

In the last few years, I have been experimenting with non-legal business projects, including consumer products and home décor start-ups, collaborating with various small and medium size businesses in the UK, the US and the EU.

It was mainly my latter experience, including the various problems I had come across, that led me to start this current project focusing on strategies for creating sustainable business partnerships (SBP), as an umbrella concept for various forms of business partnerships and cross-business collaborations. Based both on the critical analysis of my own mistakes and achievements and on cross-disciplinary studies and analytical tools, but also drawing from my extensive 30-year experience as a lawyer working with different businesses in different industries, I have developed my own strategies and tools for successful partnership models. Now I am eager to share them with people either just starting their business or grappling with problems and challenges within already existing business partnerships of all sorts.

As part of my professional journey, I have also delved into the topic of sustainable business, having completed in 2022 a programme of study of business sustainability management at University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
